Able to answer on the move too
The KOSMO app for iOS and Android is in preparation – with the same knowledge and the same permissions as at your desk. Push notifications also let you know when a scheduled task delivers a result or the crawling agent finds something. The app is not yet available in the app stores; we will say so as soon as it launches.
The same assistant, just in your pocket
Not every question arises at a desk. Out on the road, on a building site, between two appointments – that is often exactly where the information is missing that has long been documented internally.
The app accesses the same KOSMO instance as the browser: the same sources, the same group permissions, the same processing on-premise or in our German data centre. No second set of data is created on the device.
Push notifications turn the direction around: instead of looking yourself, you get told – when a scheduled summary is ready, say, or the crawling agent has found a keyword.

Who benefits most from mobile access
Field service and sales: at the customer's site a question comes up about a condition, a delivery time or a reference project – the answer has long been somewhere internally. Following up afterwards looks uncertain; looking it up on the phone does not.
Trades, engineering, maintenance: anyone standing on a building site or inside a plant has no manual with them. Querying work instructions, safety requirements and equipment documentation is exactly the case an assistant in your pocket is built for.
Shift and part-time work: people who do not work at a desk often have no permanent computer access either. Without mobile access, part of the workforce is effectively shut out from internal knowledge.
Distributed teams: between two appointments, on the train, working from home – the app accesses the same instance, with the same group permissions as in the browser.
For reference: The app is in development – to that extent this page describes a planned feature and not current scope. We deliberately do not name a date. Which notifications you want to receive later is something you set in KOSMO yourselves.

Do different permissions apply on the move?
No. Group permissions are the same – anyone who may not see a source in the browser will not see it in the app either.
Does the app work with an on-premise installation?
The app connects to your KOSMO instance. What has to be reachable for that depends on your network setup – we clarify it during the project.
What happens if a work phone is lost?
Access runs through central sign-in. Withdraw it and the app is no longer usable – no independent body of data is left behind on the device.
Where can I download the app?
Nowhere yet – the store entries are not public. As soon as the App Store and Google Play carry the app, the links will be here on this page.
