A moving year is drawing to a close. We are almost lost for words at all the incredible events of recent months, but we still want to take the opportunity to look back on 2023.
Anyone who has followed Splitbot's story knows that work on AI-based software had been going on at Kontor Business IT GmbH since 2021 – software that automates (administrative) processes in a wide range of scenarios and gives specialists back an essential resource: time.
Our customers' urgent need and the consistently open, positive feedback then tipped the balance towards a major company decision. On 15 March, Splitbot GmbH was spun off as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kontor Business IT. A milestone that not only underlines Splitbot's potential but has also enabled immense growth. From originally one developer working on the project together with Tadeusz, a team of ten people now works exclusively for Splitbot. Further colleagues take on important tasks for both companies and so contribute to the success. The permanent team members and the minds behind Splitbot are: Florian Roßmann, Mats Kastner, Søren Molkentin, Bartosz Golis, Maximilian Esch, Muhemd Al-Moayad and Katharina Kirstein. We are particularly proud to be accompanying two young people through their training: Arturs Tinte and Ramtin Abouie. Vincent Schiller recently joined the team as a working student.
Everyone who has visited our website knows the faces of our bots. Behind them lies the creative and design work of Friedrich Wehrmann and Maximilian Hertwig. We are also particularly grateful to Kristina Andresen, who takes on all administrative work with tireless commitment and has thereby made an important contribution to Splitbot's creation. Last but not least, Carolina Wehrmann and Tadeusz Nikitin should of course be mentioned here. Without the two of them as management, and without their belief in the project and their courage to take new paths, none of this would have been possible.
But presence alone is not enough for a company's success. Every single person has contributed to our reaching further big goals.
One important chapter for us was taking part in the Gateway49 accelerator programme. We learned an incredible amount in that time and were able to build a broad network. We are very grateful for the support of the whole Gateway team.
We were greatly honoured by a visit from State Secretary Julia Carstens. Ms Carstens had us set out Splitbot's possibilities in detail and made contact with Sigma in our VR room.
Another great success for us was acceptance into the alpha programme of this year's Web Summit in Lisbon. We were not only able to take part in this huge event but to present Splitbot at a stand, in the startup showcase and in a 40-word video. We are still overwhelmed by Lisbon and all the impressions we were able to gather.
Through working with DiWiSH, the German AI Association, KI.SH and WTSH, we were able not only to attend various events but to introduce ourselves and help shape the digital future actively. Tadeusz in particular has meanwhile become a sought-after speaker and valued contact at every level thanks to his AI expertise.
The successful use of Splitbot in our own administration and in Business IT support were further events we were able to celebrate. Onboarding our pilot customers is going well, and we will begin the new year by implementing further customer projects. New and promising ideas are already waiting to be realised, and we are excited to see where our journey takes us in 2024.
Until then we wish you and your loved ones wonderful holidays and a peaceful new year.
Your team at Splitbot GmbH
